Position Details
Job Title: Community Supervision Officer Internship
Schedule: Part-Time Internship
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist Supervision Officers in day-to-day supervision tasks
- Observe and assist support staff in their duties
- Assist and observe Court officers in their responsibilities
- Assist in preparing court testimony
- Observe Supervision Officers providing testimony in court
All CSCD Intern Responsibilities
- Report to work prepared to perform assigned responsibilities
- Maintain professional confidentiality regarding CSCD matters
- Support the CSCD mission and values
- Follow CSCD safety rules and regulations
- Perform duties according to CSCD policies and procedures
- Meet required technology proficiency standards
- Use technology effectively in daily work activities
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors, managers, or the department director
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program within the United States
- Ability to speak and write English fluently
- Must be at least 19 years of age

Must be a United States Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident,
or possess a valid work visa issued by the Federal Government
- Must possess a valid Texas Photo ID and Social Security Card
- Must meet internship eligibility requirements set by their college

Must pass a criminal background check conducted by Potter County CSCD

Applicants with active or pending criminal charges will be disqualified

Closed or inactive criminal charges may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Must complete an interview with the interview board

Must agree to follow all CSCD rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines

Internship hours must be completed between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM,
Monday through Friday unless conducting approved field visits
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship. College credit may be available upon request
and approval from the student’s college. Scheduling flexibility is available
to accommodate individual class schedules.
